The story take place in qing dynasty China. When the great wall of China was being build. Theres a small village in a small vally called the Rat Village. The reason why the village is called rat village is because the whole  village is infested by rats after the evil rat emperor moved next to it. All the animals that lives in the village never get enough food to eat.
The Reaper Rabbit and the Coward Cow are childhood friend. They were always the outcast growing up, never fitted in anywhere because their different. The Reaper Rabbit is too small, and always get look down on and the coward cow is too big and everyone gets scared of him. Since no one likes them, they feel alone and sad and want to get revenge to the world. They wanted to be evil and do bad things.
One day they came across the Rat Village and they wanted to steal all their food but found out that the village don't have any food left because the evil rat emperor's minion took them all. They decided to go to the evil rat emperor to steal the food from him.
After they encountered many obstacles they finally successful steal the food from the evil emperor and drove him away. And in the end they had a sudden change of heart and gave the food back to the villagers and everyone in the village likes them, they were considered heroes, rather the villains.
